In 2009, Cristiano Ronaldo moved to Real Madrid and received a reception that truly made him feel the power of Madrid. This collection celebrates Cristiano's first glorious years in Spain and his transformation to diamond-level player. Upon his arrival to Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo has become CR7, symbol of an athlete who has pushed boundaries, cutting the diamond of his own talent to reveal all of its unparalleled brilliance in the football world.

I worked closely with Nike Global Football Footwear to ensure visual consistency throughout the footwear and apparel collections, I felt this was a great opportunity to create styles that really pushed the possibilities of apparel production through heat debossing on the jersey, high definition printing on the sleeve stripe, and reflectivity with shine on the swoosh and CR7.
The high definition silicone print with color reveal on the sleeve stripe was a real challenge. We went through many options, initially trying to get more of a multicolor effect on the color reveal. Ultimately, we agreed that a bright single color HD reveal provided a dynamic and lenticular visual effect that felt fresh and premium.
The faceted pattern on the jersey and jacket was created using heat debossing, which provides a subtle element of shine as light moves through the fabric. This effect is more visible on darker colored garments, so using black as one of the colors in the collection was a must.
