While working at Nike Global Football, I was lucky enough to work on some projects that weren’t within my immediate category. As a young kid I played tons of basketball and owned “Come Fly with Me” featuring Michael Jordan and his inspirational journey. His story was a huge inspiration for me, while working with the Jordan brand and the University of Marquette to create these uniforms was a very special treat.

To everyone at Jordan and Nike Basketball that was a part of this - muchas gracias.

Heavily inspired by the campus architecture and the Marquette University "MU” monogram, I created a visual center that would be used throughout the 5 different colorways of the uniform. This included custom numbers, letters, and script wordmark that further tell the story of this historic institution and basketball program.

The graphic direction and placement of angled stripes was heavily informed by the bold visual languages that Marquette Basketball is known for. The combination of yellow, blue, and navy needed a fresh perspective in dynamic way.

A lot of graphic energy was put into framing the uniform, especially on the shorts, knowing that many uniforms tend to place most of their attention on the jersey only and not the entire head to toe canvas.
